“It’s all quite magically nostalgic.”

Eastbourne rockers Elephant Radio effortlessly conjure up feelings of nostalgia and home with new track Let The Good Times Roll. After the boundless success of their debut EP California FM in 2018, plenty of ideas have been brewing in the minds of Freddie, Seb, Liam, Archie and Joe.

The track itself breathes freedom and community, from the bright gang vocals to the airy acoustic swing that underlines the track. There is a noticeable minimalism also, with each instrument carefully mixed and showcased with faultless efficacy. From the delicate synth melodies complementing the guitar solo to Freddie’s raw and heartfelt lyricism, they are brought harmoniously together by the driving acoustic guitar and parading drums. It’s all quite magically nostalgic, as if the song has been circulating on radio stations for years previous and has only now risen to the limelight.

As is the case with creatives and musicians alike, lockdown has allowed us to humour those insatiable creative urges that we had meagre time for before, and Elephant Radio are no exception. The boys have been busy.
